ABOUT US
Moving At The Speed of Opportunity
We’re a strategic creative partner for innovation teams. We utilize sprints and strategic creative development as a way to help teams manage risk, keep momentum, and uncover the right learnings to move forward. Borrowing start-up principles and lean methodologies, our sprints enable focus and speed. While we implement strategic design and brand development to learn about how we can resonate with consumers and disrupt the market. Stone Labs is an independently operating business unit of Stone Strategy & Design, an independent brand strategy and design agency. Stone Strategy & Design works with both established national brands and emerging challengers across strategy, storytelling, identity, packaging, and brand-world building. We’re a creative, curious, and driven bunch that aims to do good work that works.
OUR VALUES At Stone Labs, you’ll find we’re a band of delightful misfits, doers, tinkerers, dreamers, entrepreneurs, and strategy nerds looking to take on interesting challenges and chart new paths. We’re united and guided by our 5 core values:

Ownership & Independence: Own the outcome and stay accountable. Work with self-guided initiative and independent judgment, knowing support is there when you need it.
Humble Conviction: Bring strong perspectives and the confidence to lead — along with openness, self-awareness and the humility to listen.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Sprint Coach is the lead facilitator, delivery owner, and process guide for Stone Labs sprint engagements. This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for constructing the sprint plan and curriculum, guiding internal and client teams through the work, and ensuring clarity, momentum, and epic client outcomes.
Sprint Coaches design and adapt sprint structures, facilitate workshops, lead multidisciplinary internal teams, and serve as the primary point of connection between the agency and the client—partnering closely with both to find win-win outcomes. You are accountable for delivery through leadership, facilitation, and sound judgment.
This role requires fluency in innovation and design methodologies—including Design Thinking, Lean, and Agile—along with the ability to modify or abandon frameworks when the situation calls for it.
The role is organized around four core areas of accountability:
• Construct sprint plans / curriculum
• Own the delivery of the facilitation portion of the engagement
• Build and evolve the curriculum as needed
• Serve as the in-between of agency and client
01 CONSTRUCT SPRINT PLANS / CURRICULUM
• Design the plan and curriculum for each engagement up front—translating the client's goals into a structured sprint with the right sessions, exercises, and learning arc.
• Construct the sprint plan and curriculum for each engagement, grounded in the client's goals and the nature of the problem
• Design the workshops, working sessions, and exercises that make up the sprint's learning and decision-making arc
• Draw on Design Thinking, Lean, and Agile to structure the right approach—modifying or abandoning frameworks when the situation calls for it
• Sequence milestones, cadence, and decision points so the sprint builds momentum from kickoff to outcome
• Partner with the Project Coach to translate the plan into timelines, resourcing, and logistics
02 OWN THE DELIVERY OF THE FACILITATION PORTION OF THE ENGAGEMENT
• Own the room—lead sprints and working sessions end to end, guiding the team and client participants through the work with clarity, empathy, and momentum.
• Own end-to-end delivery of the facilitation portion of the sprint
• Plan and facilitate workshops and working sessions that drive learning and decision-making
• Lead sprints with empathy and a hospitality-first mentality
• Lead internal teams and actively guide client participants through the work
• Synthesize inputs in real time and resolve risks or misalignment as they surface
• Collaborate with the Project Coach on admin and coordination so you can stay focused on facilitation
03 BUILD & EVOLVE THE CURRICULUM AS NEEDED
• Treat the curriculum as a living asset—adapt it live when a sprint demands it, and build Stone Labs' library of sprint models and ways of working over time.
• Adapt the curriculum and sprint structure in real time as conditions and learning evolve
• Contribute to the development of new sprint models and ways of working
• Capture what works and fold it back into a reusable, evolving curriculum
• Modify or abandon frameworks when the situation calls for it
• Continuously raise the quality and effectiveness of the sprint experience
04 SERVE AS THE IN-BETWEEN OF AGENCY & CLIENT
• Be the connective tissue between Stone Labs and the client—translating between the two, keeping both aligned, and finding win-win outcomes.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day client partner on assigned sprints
• Translate client goals and context to the internal team, and the team's work back to the client
• Partner closely with clients and creative teams to find win-win outcomes
• Keep both sides aligned, manage expectations, and resolve misalignment before it grows
• Represent Stone Labs professionally and build trust at every touchpoint
